Director JUNG In-bong’s Latest Film Shooting in Gunsan
Production recently began on History of Jealousy (translated title). The indie film began shooting on December 10th at the Gunsan Philharmonic Orchestra with support from the city of Gunsan. Directed by JUNG In-bong and starring OH Ji-ho and NAM Kyu-ri, the film is about love, jealousy and revenge among five people. Actress NAM will play Su-min, a woman who is loved by the men around her, while actor OH will play Won-ho, the only man Su-min has ever loved. JO Han-sun and KIM Seunghyun have accepted the roles of Seon-gi and KIM Hong respectively, playing two men that fight over Su-min. The film’s impressive cast will also include JANG So-yeon, SONG Hae-na and veteran actor SONG Jae-ho.
History of Jealousy is director JUNG’s second feature film. He was invited to the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in 2016 and the Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) in 2017 for Her Secret Day (2016). In early December, the director will launch a campaign on the Wadiz crowdfunding site to raise production costs. The film’s production company announced they would do crowdfunding in order to give the director a budget that would allow him to fully show his imagination and ability. Meanwhile, NAM Kyu-ri was recently confirmed for upcoming mystery thriller Déjà vu while OH Ji-ho continues to remain active, appearing in L’Appartement, a play directed by KOH Sun-woong.
