Political Mystery Thriller from Debut Director KIM Jin-wook

Actors OH Man-seok and JI Hyun-woo have signed on to lead the cast of the upcoming thriller True Fiction, a politically-themed mystery tale from first time director KIM Jin-wook.
True Fiction follows the son-in-law of a mayoral candidate connected to Korea’s ruling party who visits a vacation home with his lover in a mysterious town, only to get caught up in an incident with a young man and his posse.
OH Man-seok, who earlier this year featured in the action-comedy Chasing and buddy comedy DETOUR, will take on the role of the beset son-in-law. JI Hyun-woo, seen in Mr. Idol (2011), Attack The Gas Station 2 (2010) and several TV dramas, will play the town youth whom OH faces off against. Playing the lead’s lover will be frequent KIM Ki-duk collaborator LEE Eun-woo of Moebius (2013), while character actor KIM Hak-cheol will take on the politician role.
KIM Jin-wook, tackling the director’s reigns for the first time, after working in various capacities in films such as Tazza: The High Rollers (2006) over the years, has stated that he intends to make a work that stands apart from other genre films.
Filming for True Fiction kicked off on December 7th and a release date is planned for some time in the first half of next year.
