YOO Ji-tae Confirms Participation on KKUN

Con artist thriller Kkun continues to take shape as YOO Ji-tae has confirmed his participation alongside superstar Hyun-bin and actress OH Yeon-seo has also joined the pair in a co-starring role.

In the film, Hyun-bin will play a top swindler who exclusively targets other fraudsters. YOO has signed on to play the prosecutor that investigates and tries to bring him to justice. OH’s role has yet to be revealed by distributor Showbox.

Kkun marks Hyun-bin’s second upcoming production as he is currently filming the JK Film thriller Cooperation. His last role was in the period action drama The Fatal Encounter (2014). The selective performer’s credits include A Millionaire’s First Love (2006), I Am Happy (2009) and Late Autumn (2011).

YOO was last seen in the Korea-Japan co-production The Tenor Lirico Spinto (2014) and is known globally for his role as the villain in PARK Chan-wook’s Old Boy (2003). OH debuted as a pop singer and has since been active across the big and small screen. She will next appear alongside Su Ae in the sports drama Run-off, a sequel to 2009’s Take Off.

Kkun, which will go before cameras later this year when the full cast is finalized, will be the feature debut of director JANG Chang-won. JANG started out as an assistant director on several LEE Joon-ik titles, including The Happy Life (2007) and Battlefield Heroes (2011). He was also in the directing department of LEE’s period smash King And The Clown (2005).
