10 Films Screened at Korean Film Festival in Malaysia

Screenings Held in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak
 
 

The Korean Film Festival in Malaysia, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia, was held for four days, over August 20th to 23rd. Ten films screened in select Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak.
 
Through the festival, Minister YOON Chang-yul, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, expressed his hopes “to bring the cultures of Korea and Malaysia closer through this initiative and hence strengthen the ties between our two nations.”
 
Free screenings were held for the lineup, which Minister YOON described as including “dramatic features, fascinating animations and comedies.” The program featured CHOI Dong-hoon’s caper The Thieves (2012), revenge thriller Confession of Murder (2012), MIN Kyu-dong’s romcom All About My Wife (2012), the ensemble romance Marriage Blue (2013), Korean War film The Front Line (2011), motivational drama My Paparotti (2013), indie drama Duresori: The Voice of the East (2012), the shaman and gangster-comedy Man on the Edge (2013) and the animations The King of Pigs (2011) and Green Days (2011).
