KOFIC Publishes Special Berlinale Edition of KOREAN CINEMA TODAY

Just ahead of the opening of the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival, the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) has unveiled a special Berlinale edition of its quarterly print magazine Korean Cinema Today. As ten Korean films get ready to screen at the renowned competition and the industry opens 2013 with a bang, Korean Cinema Today explores the current trends in the industry and hopes for the future through a series of insightful features, interviews and more.
 
Among the many filmmakers interviewed as part of this edition are HONG Sangsoo (cover story), SHIN Su-won, E J-yong, LEESONG Hee-il, KIM Dong-ho, LEE Don-ku, JOUNG Yumi, O Muel, RYOO Seung-wan, BONG Joon-ho and KIM Yong-hwa. Other features include a look at how Korean films performed on the international festival circuit in 2012 and as well as the challenges faced by the independent film industry in the current market.
 
This comprehensive edition of Korean Cinema Today will be made available at the Berlin International Film Festival (which will run from February 7th to 17th).
