Born in 1999, Kim Sieun was first noticed when, in 2016, she appeared in the popular children’s program <Live Broadcast Talk! Talk! Boni Hani> on EBS as one of the final four candidates to become the new Hana – a.k.a. the female host, which are traditionally selected through several rounds of auditions among a thousand of teenagers. Although the role eventually went to another candidate, she was offered to host her own segment in the show, which she did for several months. After she started college, Kim made her acting debut in the EBS telefilm <Magical Girl Choi Ri> in 2017. She then appeared in the fantasy melodrama series <When the Time Stops> (2018) before receiving meatier roles in < Special Labor Inspector> (2019), <Chip in> (2020) and <Run On> (2020). After she made her film debut in <Boys Be!!> (2020), Kim made a splash starring in July Jung’s <Next Sohee> (2022), which was selected as the closing film of Cannes Critics’ Week.Less
