Born in 1992, KEUM Sae-rok, who graduated from the Seoul Institute of the Arts in acting, began her career appearing in TV commercials and short movies before landing minor roles in mainstream films, namely the period dramas <The Silenced> (2014), <Assassination> (2015) and <LOVE, LIES> (2015). After further appearances in the hit biopic drama <The Last Princess> (2016) and <The Age of Shadows> (2016), KEUM was cast in a support character of the surprise hit thriller <Believer> (2017) and could also be seen briefly in the Cannes-invited espionage thriller <The Spy Gone North> (2017). KEUM first drew notice as one of the daughters in the family drama series <Marry Me Now> (2018), and her performance as a tough rookie detective in the comedy TV series <The Fiery Priest> (2019) later brought her to wider recognition. In 2019, she played the queen consort to Sejong the Great in the royal court drama <The King’s Letters> (2019).
