Born in 1994, LEE Sun-bin got her first taste of acting in a production of Korean children’s play, <The Invincible Trio>, at the age of 16. After high school, she moved to Seoul, passed an audition held by a talent agency, and became a girl group trainee. She officially joined the K-pop group JQT in September 2011, but the group disbanded in early 2012 before it released any other song. After that, LEE appeared as a fashion model for magazines and could be seen in TV commercials or music videos. Her acting debut eventually came most unexpectedly, in the 2014 Chinese period drama series <Sage of Calligraphy Wang Xi Zhi>, playing a princess hiding her identity under the disguise of a guard. She took several small roles in Korean TV and films, including <The Princess and the Matchmaker> (2018), but it was with her key supporting role in the cable network capper series <Squad 38> in 2016 that she started to make a name for herself. Almost immediately after, she was invited to several TV programs, including variety shows such as <I Can See Your Voice> and <King of Mask Singer> where she was able to put into practice her experience as a K-pop trainee. She was then cast in the Korean remake of the popular procedural crime series <Criminal Minds> before she was given a more important role in the period zombie film <Rampant> (2018). The TV series <Sketch> (2018) marked her first top-billing role, and in 2020 she co-starred with CHA Tae-hyun in the crime series <Team Bulldog: Off-Duty Investigation> (2020).
