Born in 1990, Jeong Jaegwang majored in drama and film at Chung-Ang University and has appeared in more than 50 independent films starting with <Scouting Report> (2015). On the year he graduated, he won the Indie Star Award of the Seoul Independent Film Festival for his lead role in the short <Blood and Bones> (2016). He moved to television in 2017, with a first role in the mystery series <Save Me> (2017). Following brief appearances in the surprise hit thriller <The Witness> (2018) and the comedy sensation <Extreme Job> (2019), Jeong landed the male lead role, starring alongside Chun Woohee, in the feature film <Vertigo> (2019). He was then offered a supporting role in in <The Roundup> (2020), the much-expected follow-up to <THE OUTLAWS> (2017) that was eventually released in 2022, and he could also be seen in the hit drama series <It’s Okay to Not Be Okay> (2020). In 2021, Director Lee Junggon offered him top billing in his feature debut <Not Out> (2021), a film he wrote specifically with the actor in mind after he was impressed by his performance while on the set for <Blood and Bones>. This casting turned out to be a turning point in Jeong’s career, as it won it Best Actor at the Jeonju International Film Festival, and later that year he was named Best New Actor at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
