A noted theater actor, LEE Ju-won wS born in 1978. His first appearance on the big screen came in 2014, in a small role in LEE Kwang-kuk’s Busan-invited comedy-drama <A Matter of Interpretation>. LEE made waves in the film sector in 2015 when he appeared in the acclaimed short <The Shelter>, for which he won the Face In Shorts Award from the Asiana International Short Film Festival, and especially for the indie mystery drama <Alone>, which debuted at the Busan International Film Festival. Directed by PARK Hong-min, the film featured LEE as a man lost in a Seoul neighbourhod who keeps waking up from nightmares, unable to escape. His powerful performance and depiction of desperation earned him the Actor of the Year award from Busan and plenty of notice from critics and viewers.
