Born in 1994, actress JEONG Ha-dam kicked off her career with a role in PARK Suk-young’s gritty indie youth drama <Wild Flowers>, which bowed at the Busan International Film Festival in 2014. A year later, she took the sole leading role in PARK’s follow-up <Steel Flower>, which once again bowed at the Busan Film Festival. At the end of 2015, that film, which showcased her tenacious yet restrained performance as a homeless teenager in Busan, picked up a Jury Prize at the Marrakech International Film Festival. The film also netted her an Independent Star Award from the Seoul Independent Film Festival.

JEONG made her commercial film debut playing a shaman in a supporting role in the hit exorcism thriller <The Priests>, starring alongside GANG Dong-won and KIM Yun-seok. In 2016, she won a Rising Star Award from the 11th Max Movie Awards, and also featured in a bit part in PARK Chan-wook’s period lesbian thriller <The Handmaiden>, which was invited to compete at the Cannes Film Festival.
