PARK Bo-gum was born in 1993 and started to learn the piano at the age of five. During high school he applied to management agencies and embarked on a career as a singer. Soon, he discovered that he was more interested in acting and enrolled in Myongji University's Film and Musical Studies Department. His acting debut came in the thriller <Blind>, alongside KIM Ha-neul, in 2011. Following that strong start he quickly made a name for himself through diverse roles and particularly on television. Known for his pure Christian image and generous spirit, PARK Bo-gum has been popular with advertizers, scoring many endorsements. His next film role was in the fashion world cop thriller <Runway Cop> which he followed in 2014 with the Cannes-invited thriller <A Hard Day>. That summer, he also scored a role in the period naval epic <Roaring Currents>, which went on to become the most successful Korean film of all time. Adding in his roles in TV dramas such as <Cantabile Tomorrow>, PARK rose to new heights in 2015, earning scores of newcomer and popularity awards.
