A Daesung High School graduate, HAN Jun-hee worked as a screenwriter in his early career. In 2008, he participated as an assistant director on the HA Ji-won and CHA Tae-hyun comedy drama <Ba: Bo>. He got his script produced in 2013, when CJ Entertainment made the supernatural investigative thriller <The Gifted Hands>. Starring KIM Kang-woo as a detective and idol star KIM Beom as a young psychic whose graffiti art foreshadows actual crime scenes. That same year he also helmed the short film <Understanding Movies>. Teaming up with CJ once again, HAN moved on to his directorial debut in 2015, with the female-led gangster thriller <Chinatown>. Distributed by CJ’s CGV Arthouse label, the film features KIM Go-eun as a young girl brought up to become a criminal by the gangster who harbored her as a baby, played by KIM Hye-soo.
