Born in 1982 in Seoul. Attended the Department of Film at the Seoul Institute of the Arts and the School of Film, TV Multimedia at the Korea National University of Arts. His career as a filmmaker began with A House Call (2008), which won the Bronze Prize at the Carthage Film Festival and he also received the Award for Cinematography at the Mise-en-scene Film Festival and various other awards for Sign (2013), another short.
