Born in 1990 and a graduate from the Korea National University of Arts, JEONG Yeon-ju kicked off her career in fine form, appearing in the short film <The Guest> in 2011, which earned her the Great Actor Award from the fifth edition of the Great Short Film Festival in Korea. She followed that by joining the cast of TV series <Dream High> in 2012. That year, she also appeared in the rebooted high school drama series <School 2013>. Next up was the 2013 drama series <Princess Aurora>, soon followed by her first main role in television with the direct-to-TV film <How to Survive in Africa> (2013). At the same time, she also appeared in numerous short films such as <Guest> (2011), <Late Night> (2012) and <Return Match> (2013), the latter of which became part of anthology film <Now Playing> (2014). In 2014, she scored one of the main parts in her first feature, the indie fantasy drama <Alice: Boy from Wonderland>, as well as a supporting role in her first commercial feature, the Lunar New Year folk music biopic <C’est Si Bon> (2014). Although she has focused more on web series in recent years, JEONG has notably been a regular cast member of the popular comedy sketch show <Saturday Night Live Korea> from 2015 to 2016. She then returned to the big screen with a supporting role in the hit comedy-drama <I Can Speak> (2017) and was most recently seen in the buddy cop film <The Accidental Detective 2: In Action> (2018).
