PARK Doo-hui, born in 1989, graduated from Hanyang University in theater and film, where he directed a few short films of his own, and had his first taste of commercial filmmaking while working in the art department of <No Mercy> (2009). He then joined the production department for the smash hit drama <Sunny> (2011) from KANG Hyoung-chul and served as production assistant on the indie <The King of Jogku> (2013) and KANG’s <Tazza-The Hidden Card> (2014). During his time as an employee of the planning team of CJ ENM’s Butterfly Project, an initiative that aimed to discover talented new directors and help them break out in the industry, he notably contributed to the drama film <Set Me Free> (2014) from KIM Tae-yong and <Collective Invention> (2015) from KWON Oh-kwang. With his company Film Run, which he established in 2013, PARK distributed short films and executive produced fellow Hanyang film graduate LIM Dae-hyung’s <Merry Christmas Mr. Mo> (2017) and his follow-up <Moolit Winter> (2019), which was mostly filmed on-location in Otaru, Japan.
