Veteran supporting actor KIM Byoung-ok has been active in the industry ever since the early 2000s and despite appearing in dozens of films and TV shows, he is still probably best known for one of his earliest parts, as the white-haired and silent bodyguard to YOO Ji-tae’s villain in PARK Chan-wook’s modern classic <Old Boy> (2003). Prior to his screen appearances, which began with the romantic drama <The Classic>, also in 2003, KIM already had 20 years of experience on the stage in the Daehakro theater area of Seoul. After his screen, some of KIM’s most iconic roles in films have included an eccentric priest in PARK Chan-wook’s <Lady Vengeance> (2005) and smaller parts in IM Sang-soo’s <The President’s Last Bang> (2005) and RYOO Seung-wan’s <Crying Fist> (2005).
