He stumbled into the Korean commercial movie industry as an actor in 'Ditto’. Since that time, he worked as a 1st AD in the Korean film industry for over 10 years. His works include movies such as ‘Ditto’, ‘The Voice’, ‘an Eye for an Eye’, ‘Paradise Murdered’, ‘Clementine’, and ‘Sky and Ocean’.
Especially, his script ‘5 Seasons’ was selected as the best feature film screenplay at the CJ Entertainment Scenario Competition—despite Jun Hwan Kim never having formally studied screenwriting before. This achievement earned him recognition as a talented screenwriter.
In addition, he is preparing a new film which is aimed for release in 2013 with a major film production company in Korea. Therefore, his new movie ‘Wait for Me There,’ will be an important steppingstone for him to be recognized as a capable director before directing his first Korean commercial film.
