Formerly a stage musical actor, JO Jung-suk made a dramatic entry into the film industry with a scene-stealing turn in the popular romance <Architecture 101> (2012). His part wasn’t big but it drew him a lot of exposure, not to mention some Best New Actors awards from the Blue Dragon and KOFRA Film Awards. JO gained even more fans following his turn as SONG Kang-ho’s sidekick in the period blockbuster <The Face Reader> (2013), for which he picked up Best Supporting Actor accolades from the Daejong and KOFRA Film Awards. JO followed this up with another period drama, <The Fatal Encounter> (2014). JO is also a popular star on the small screen, having appeared in <You Are the Best!> and <King 2hearts>. Gregarious, funny and engaging, it is no surprise that JO’s stardom rose so quickly. His rise showed no signs of slowing as he next headlined the romantic comedy <My Love, My Bride>, alongside SHIN Min-a, which became a major debut hit for Cineguru. In 2015, he took on a pair of leading roles, first in the time-split narrative drama <Time Renegade>, alongside LIM Soo-jung, and also as the lead actor in the media thriller <Journalist>, the highly-anticipated second film by ROH Deok.
