LEE Mi-young, born in 1967, entered the film industry in 1994 when she joined the newly established film production company CINE2000 (then Seongyeong Entertainement) as head of planning. After making her debut as a producer with PARK Chan-wook’s sophomore effort <Trio> (1997), she gained recognition for having produced the cult rom-com <Art Museum By The Zoo> (1998). This reputation was further solidified two years later by her accolade from the Grand Bell Awards recognizing her planning work on <Interview> (2000). Since she conceptualized what would become the critically-acclaimed melodrama <Addicted> (2002), she has been mainly active as an executive producer. In 2009, she founded the production company Gummy with which she would notably churn out LEE Kyoung-mi’s <The Truth Beneath> (2016).
