PAKR Heon-Cheol is an early adapter who introduced steady cam to Korean cinematography, was the first to use Red One camera and Camcat in Korea (Take Off(2009)) and the first Korean to be admitted into AFI. Along with [KIM Hyeong-gu], he is the first cinematographer to debut in Korea without having gone through the apprenticeship system. His experiments and experience in new filming techniques and equipments since the late 1990s, such as blue mat filming and stop-motion animation, through The Soul Guardians, Ghost in Love, and 2009 Lost Memories climaxed in Take Off with its creative filming of the dynamic and yet fluid scenes of ski jumps. He is working on a different type of film currently, Mr. Go by [KIM Yong-hwa].
Less
