JUNG Il-Woo became famous after the sitcom <Unstoppable High Kick> in 2006. He appeared in many commercials and became the main character in the drama <The Return of Iljimae> and <Take Care of the Young Lady>. The sequels of Il-Woo were not as successful as <Unstoppable High Kick> but he kept on building his filmography. In the play <Beautiful Sunday>, Il-Woo played a role of a gay man and through the drama <49 days> Il-Woo began to be viewed as a serious actor. In 2011, Il-Woo played a role in <Flower Boy Ramyun Shop> and in 2012, he filming the drama <The Moon that Embraces the Sun>.
