JEONG In-yeob was one of the biggest-grossing movie directors of the Korean filmmaking industry of the 1970s. He started his filmmaking career by working for the late director [KIM Ki-young], and made his feature debut with <Angry Heroes>(1965), which dealt with the true story of the Youngil Bay oil exploration project. JEONG made a name for himself with comedy and melodrama, but his single representative work was <Emma in Paris>(1982), which set the then-amazing box office record of 310,000 tickets sold. The movie catapulted its leading actress, [AHN So-young], to stardom and spawned four sequels that became the best-known erotic film series among Korean films. JEONG In-yeob stopped making films in 1992, and attempted to come back in 2002 with <Kim Gun-mo’s Speed>, but the movie was never released.
