After making his debut in 2004 with the mobile drama <Five Stars>, JUNG Kyung-ho garnered enormous popularity that same year in the drama <Sorry I Love You>, as a weak and feeble singer. He was also popular in the movies <When Romance Meets Destiny> and <All For Love>. Subsequently, he displayed greater depth in the movies <Gangster High> and <Running Turtle> and the drama <Time Between Dog and Wolf>. In the SBS drama <Smile, You>, with his modest and masculine image, he elevated his status to that of a dependable model as he received many calls from commercial producers. He subsequently began his 21-month obligatory military service and upon his return he took the lead role as an arrogant film star in <Fasten Your Seatbelt>, the directorial debut of star HA Jung-woo which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in 2013. His next role was as a deranged serial killer stalking the sewers of Seoul in the horror-thriller <Manhole>, in which he starred alongside JUNG Yu-Mi and KIM Sae-ron.
