LEE Choon-yun is the producer of the Whispering Corridors series, which opened a new horizon of Korean-style horror in the 1990s. Having worked in the film industry for more than 25 years, he is like a big brother figure to most movie producers in Korea. As the chairman of the [Coalition for cultural Diversity in Moving Images(CDMI)], he has been the opinion leader on policy issues and industry conditions. He has granted opportunities to directors with unique individuality via Their Last Love Affair ([LEE Myung-Se]) and Saminjo([Park Chan-wook]) among many. In addition, he is responsible for making the actress [SHIM Eun-Ha] a star by producing films with her in them, Art Museum by the Zoo and Interview. The Whispering Corridors series, which started in 1998 now has a total of five installments, was a huge success in Southeast Asia as well. Many of the new actresses who got their substantial movie start in the series, such as [PARK Jin-hee], [KONG Hyo-jin], and [KIM Ok-vin], are have become beloved stars.
