LEE Seong-gu

Director, Actor, Screenwriter

Born in Hamhung in 1928. As a relative with the director LEE Byung-iI, he entered the film industry since 1947. His debut film A Young Look(1960) didn’t make a great commercial success, but considered as a the pioneer of the youth films in 1960s. His directorial style is focused on distinctive images and styles. The General's Mustache(1968) is considered as one of the most representative modernism films in Korea.
