YOO Seung-ho left a strong impression with his debut film <The Way Home> where he played a 7 year-old boy who spends the summer in a remote countryside with his mute grandmother. The film was a big success and sold over 1 million tickets in 2002 upon its release. When he was a little over 10 years old, he portrayed the main characters as young boys in TV dramas 'Immortal Admiral Yi Sun Shin' (2004) and 'Sad Love Song' (2005). Although it is not common for a child actor to grow into a major actor, YOO took on the lead role in <Hearty Paws> where a young brother and sister bond with their newest addition to the family, a puppy. Next he showed he was working hard to transition into an adult actor by starring in popular TV dramas such as ‘Queen Seon-deok’ (2009) and ‘Flame of Desire’ (2010). Recently, YOO showed off his unique appeal by crossing back and forth between the fine line of an innocent boy and a rebellious youth in the film <Blind>, which contributed to the film’s 2 million ticket success. YOO’s star continued to rise in the next few years which lead to his being cast as the principal in a pair of Joseon Era period films, first <The Magician> in late 2015 and subsequently <Kim Sundal> in 2016.
