YANG Yun-ho shows a wide spectrum of works, starting with <Yuri>(1996), which was screened in the Cannes Film Festival, to the blockbuster TV drama <Iris>. When his feature debut was invited to the Critic’s Week at Cannes, the Korean movie industry expected to see the emergence of another writer-director. However, YANG showed in his subsequent films, such as <Libera Me>(2000), <Fighter in the Wind>(2004), and <Holiday>(2006), that he pursues a wide range of films, not just art films. <Iris>, which boasted a stellar cast that includes [LEE Byung-hun] and [KIM Tae-hee] among many, enormous production cost, and unprecedented blockbuster scale, recorded upwards of 30% in viewership rating in Korea and was exported to all parts of Asia. <Iris: The Movie>, a theatrical version of the TV series, was also marketed to numerous countries in Europe and Asia.
