The CEO of Barunson Entertainment, SEO Woo-sik was the producer of Mother and was responsible for the overall production of The Good, the Bad, the Weird and The Servant. As a co-founder of Barunson with CHOI Jae-won, he was promoted to the position of CEO from the position of director in charge of production after his firm expanded into the entertainment business. He was a member of the indie film collective Changsankot Mae, which drew attention during the mid-1990s. He started producing Korean films in earnest after a stint as the head of production on the music movie <Jungle Story>. He worked as a producer for <NO. 3> by SONG Neung-han and <Dr. K> by KWAK Kyung-taek. He also produced <Madeleine>, the debut film of ZO In-sung, when he was the chief executive of Free Cinema. He is expanding his business to other platforms such as TV with a wider range of productions by acquiring Sio Film from Syd Lim. As the CEO of Barunson, he also co-invested and co-produced <A Millionaire on the Run> (2012), starring K-Pop entrepreneur JYP. Currently, he is working on a TV drama called <Doctors without Borders>, which was presented to Japanese content market experts at a pitching event in Japan held by KOCCA.
