PARK has strength in drawing extreme emotions of his film characters. <Too Young to Die>(2002), a movie about an elderly couple who meet each other in the twilight of their lives and share a hot love affair, blurs the boundary between documentary and fiction by casting the real subject of the movie. The movie raised controversies about its rating with extreme sex scenes. <You Are My Sunshine>(2005) was a screen adaptation of a real story of a couple who contracted AIDS. <Voice of a Murderer>(2007) was about an unsolved child abduction case that took place in real life. PARK had worked on the case as a TV producer in his prior career. In 2009, he released <Closer to Heaven>, a love story of a man suffering Lou Gehrig’s Disease and a nurse who was assigned to care for him as a patient. PARK briefly stepped back from the megaphone to executive produce the SON Ye-jin revenge thriller <Blood and Ties> in 2013 before returning as a director with the romcom <Love Forecast>.
