Ruslan was born in 1981 in Uzbekistan (Soviet Union). Ruslan is the fourth generation of the Soviet Koreans in territory of the former Soviet Union. He started filmmaking in 2001. After working for 7 years as an assistant to film director, he began filming short films. He joined the filming course at Graduate school of Korean National University of Arts in 2006.In 2003,Ruslan PAKworked as the actor and the director in theatrical performance "Motherland" which was invited to the 22nd international theatrical festival in Daegu, Korea. He was recognized as one of the best young film directors of Uzbekistan in the project conducted by British Consuil.In 2006,Ruslan made a short film which was invited to the program “Talent campus” of the 57th Berlin International Film Festival.
