RYOO Hoon was born in 1972 in Seoul, Korea. He graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He majored in Film Directing in MFA program. He is a director and writer in several independent short films. One of the films, "Let Me Die", received the Jury Award for Best Short Film at 12th Lyon Asian Film Festival. He also worked as a screenwriter and was one of screenwriters in My Wife Got Married . Secret Love is his first feature film.
