Since then, he has made Trap (1996), Grand Open (1999) and Say Yes (2001), leading the thriller genre. KIM returned in 2009 with the horror thriller <Missing>, about a girl who becomes a victim to a deranged psychopath and the sister who goes looking for her. It debuted at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and picked up awards for Best Cinematography and Best New Actress at the Golden Film Awards. KIM next tackled the plastic surgeon murderer film <Doctor>, which debuted in Busan in 2012.
