Popular character actor BAE Sung-woo and rising star JUNG Ga-ram are back on set for the upcoming film Investigation Trip (translated title), which commenced shooting on June 9. The feature debut of writer-director PARK Cheol-hwan is the latest project from distributor ACEMAKER MOVIEWORKS, which recently released the Cannes-invited thriller The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil.
BAE Sung-woo plays Jae-hyuk, a veteran detective known for his tenacious investigation skills but who is currently embroiled in a bribery scandal, while JUNG Ga-ram is on board as the rookie detective Joong-ho, a former social media influencer from a rich family who joined the force because of a bet. The pair join forces and head to Seoul to investigate a murder.
Ever since his big screen debut Crush And Blush (2008), BAE has been a memorable presence on screen who has notched up a number of box office hits over the last decade, including Veteran (2015), Inside Men (2015), The King (2017) and The Great Battle (2018).
JUNG drew acclaim for his role in JUNG Ji-woo’s indie Fourth Place (2016) and has since gone from strength to strength, appearing in LEE Hae-young’s Believer (2018) and this year’s THE ODD FAMILY : ZOMBIE ON SALE, among others. Both actors recently worked together in the yet-to-be released Beasts Clawing at Straws, co-starring alongside JEON Do-yeon and JUNG Woo-sung.
