Grizzled detective Sang-gil (Song Kang-ho) begins to investigate a death apparently caused by spontaneous combustion, the only evidence of note being the presence of canine bite marks on the corpse. At the same time, rookie detective Eun-young (Lee Na-young) is ordered to investigate the death of someone mauled by a wild wolf-dog. As these cases begin to overlap, the detectives’ clashing personalities force them to confront their own psychological flaws and prejudices as they pursue the mysterious wolf-dog.
Director Yoo Ha made his feature debut in 1993 with <We Must Go to Apgujung-dong on Windy Days>, based on a collection of his own poetry. His directorial efforts since then include <Once Upon a Time in High School> (2004), <A Dirty Carnival> (2006) and the controversial historical drama <A Frozen Flower> (2008), which tallied nearly 4 million admissions.
