He is a part of the idol group Super Junior under the name Ki-Bum. He moved to Los Angeles in the United States when he was a child and was cast by SM Entertainment. He also appeared in the drama <April Kiss> in 2004 as a child actor. Later he gained popularity in the drama <Sharp 2> and expanded his repertoire by appearing in various dramas such as the sitcom <Rainbow Romance> and the drama <Marrying a Millionaire>. He debuted as a movie star in the movie <Attack on the Pinup Boys> in 2007 as the narrator and blogger. In 2010 he also starred with Hwang Bo-Ra in the movie <Jumunjin> as a ghost. In 2011, he appeared in the drama <Deep Rooted Tree>.
