Biography
Bori Pictures is the film production company founded in 2009 by YIM Soon-rye, the director of critically-acclaimed music band drama (2001) and sports drama hit (2007). After it released in 2009 YIM’s ensemble drama film (2008), co-produced with the National Human Rights Commission of Korea, Bori Pictures worked on two other projects from the director, (2010) and the anthology film (2011). The company then gave HONG Sangsoo’s apprentice LEE Kwang-guk the opportunity to make his directing debut with the arthouse drama (2011), which received much praise from the critics. Bori Pictures’ latest release was the drama film (2015), helmed by CHOI Jeong-yeol.
