In 2009, the first female Ssireum(Korean traditional wrestling) champion was born, and there is hope that women's Ssireum will have official competitions and professional teams. Ten years later, five female Ssireum wrestlers who have endured the unpopularity of the sport struggle to become Ssireum champions.
