Afterwater, a co-production between Germany, Spain, South Korea and Serbia and the second feature from Serbian filmmaker Dane Komljen, received support from the Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) as one of their Jeonju Cinema Projects and was originally scheduled to screen at the 2020 edition to the festival. However, owing to the pandemic, public screenings were not held. The film, which follows three people who explore the space around a lake, will thus have its world premiere in Berlin and subsequently screen officially at JIFF later this year.
