  • PARK Hee-soon Confirmed for LEGEND
  • by Christopher Weatherspoon /  Dec 29, 2017
  • First-time Director LEE Seung-won Planning High Octane Revenge Action Film

Actor PARK Hee-soon has been confirmed for the upcoming action film Legend (working title).
PARK’s management agency King Kong by Starship Entertainment announced that the actor had signed on to appear in the movie.

Legend is set in the near future where Asia’s most notorious criminals are sent to AP101, a hellish prison island located somewhere in the South Pacific where only the strong can survive. The film revolves around a man who purposely has sent himself to the island to exact revenge. PARK will play Kun, the ruthless and charismatic boss of Asia’s largest criminal organization who happens to control the prison island from the inside. Legend will be the feature film directorial debut for LEE Seung-won who previously served as assistant director on The Suspect (2013) and Memoir of a Murderer (2017). KIM In-kwon has also been confirmed for the cast.

PARK Hee-soon has played a wide variety of colorful characters in an acting career that has spanned more than two decades and had major supporting roles in three of this year’s biggest releases (V.I.P., The Fortress and 1987: When the Day Comes). PARK will next appear in HEO Jong-ho’s upcoming period thriller film Monster (2018).

Legend is set to begin shooting on location next month in Indonesia and is aiming for a 2018 release.
