- YOURSELF AND YOURS Vies for Golden Shell in Spain
HONG Sang-soo has been particularly busy lately, with three films currently in post-production. Yourself and Yours, the first of those and his 18th overall, has been invited to screen at the San Sebastian International Film Festival next month during the 64th edition of the long-running Spanish event.Part of the official selection and competing for the Golden Shell prize, Yourself and Yours features KIM Joo-hyuk as a painter who argues with his girlfriend, played by LEE Yoo-young, when he finds out that she went out drinking with another man. Seeking to make up, he fruitlessly looks for her the next day while a woman who may or may not be his girlfriend goes around his neighborhood meeting other men.HONG’s last feature was Right Now, Wrong Then featuring JUNG Jae-young and KIM Min-hee. The film was one of the most successful of his career, bagging the Golden Leopard prize from the Locarno International Film Festival as well as several other prizes around the world.KIM Joo-hyuk is in the midst of a busy year, having already appeared in romcom Like for Likes, LEE Kyoung-mi’s thriller The Truth Beneath, and still to be seen in JUNG Sik’s Colonial Era drama The Tooth and the Nail and the big budget spy film Cooperation.LEE Yoo-young has seen her star status ascend in recent years, having appeared in Late Spring (2014) and both The Treacherous and FATAL INTUITION last year.The 64th San Sebastian International Film Festival will take place over September 16th to 24th.
