Actor LEE Hui-joon, currently appearing in Korean War melodrama A Melody to Remember, will join top star KIM Hye-soo and LEE Sun-kyun in crime noir Precious Lady. The thriller will mark the debut of filmmaker LEE An-gyu.Active across the big and small screen, LEE recently appeared in the indie Dear Dolphin (2013), the maritime thriller Haemoo (2014) and will have a second film in theatres next week when the Lotte Entertainment drama Sori: Voice from the Heart is released in time for the Lunar New Year holiday.Echoing her acclaimed starring turn in the last year’s Coin Locker Girl, which netted her a Best Actress prize from the Korean Association of Film Critics Awards, KIM will play the second-in-command of a crime organization in Precious Lady. KIM is currently on the small screen as one of the leads in Signal, a TV show based on same spree of murders that inspired Memories Of Murder (2003). LEE Sun-kyun, last seen in A Hard Day (2014) and The Advocate : A Missing Body, will play the man trying to steal her heart.Grabbing the megaphone for the first time, director LEE An-gyu has worked as an assistant director on the KIM Jee-woon films The Quiet Family (1998) and The Good, The Bad, And The Weird (2008), as well as LEE Joon-ik’s Blades of Blood (2010) in the past.Filming for Precious Lady will get underway in the first half of 2016.
