- Korean Film Festival in Australia Loads 6th Edition

- 20-Strong Lineup to Suit All Tastes
The popular Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA) is returning for its 6th edition later this month, as it will present an impressive roster of 20 Korean films spanning commercial and indie fare, genre, animation and documentary. The festival will kick off August 12th in Sydney until the 20th, before traveling to Brisbane (Aug 25-31), Melbourne (Sep 3-10), Canberra (Sep 5-6), Perth (Sep 17-20) and finishing in Adelaide (Sep 24-27).Opening the festival will be the family film How To Steal A Dog, based on Barbara O’Connor’s novel, for which director KIM Sung-ho will be attendance. KOFFIA will then close with indie darling Madonna, which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. Madonna’s director SHIN Su-won and producer LIM Choong-keun will visit Sydney. Also traveling to Sydney will be WOO Moon-gi, the director of indie sports comedy The King of Jokgu, and animation director HAN Ji-won, in support of Clearer than You Think.Beyond those, the 6th KOFFIA will feature blockbusters such as Roaring Currents, KUNDO: Age of the Rampant, The Target, and The Divine Move, as well as acclaimed indies such as Han Gong-ju, Factory Complex, and Cart. Also screening will be diverse commercial fare such as Love Forecast and My Dictator.
