- The 3rd olleh International Smartphone Film Festival Opens
The opening ceremony for the 3rd olleh International Smartphone Film Festival was held at the outdoor stage of KOEX Millenium Square on April 17th. At the ceremony, emceed by actors OH Jeong-se and YOO In-young, the festival director LEE Joon-ik, the jury chairman Bong Joon-ho, executive committee members, jury members and child directors from a remote island who worked on the opening film Drawing Paper attended.
The festival director LEE indicated the identity of the festival saying, “Filmmaking is not only for limited people any more.” The jury chairman BONG said, “I will impulsively select daring films. That’s what fits the festival.” Ruben KAZANTSEV, the festival director of the American iPhone Film Festival said, “I have always been curious about Korea because I saw a lot of Korean films submitted to the American iPhone Film Festival.”
The 3rd olleh International Smartphone Film Festival, ‘The Festival for dreamers’ where anyone can be a director, will continue until April 20th.
