New releases failed to top the chart for a second weekend running as admissions dipped to 1.82 million while local titles lost their market advantage to Hollywood as they fell to a 42% share.
Claiming the top spot for a third consecutive weekend following a 44% slide, Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok continued to satisfy Korean viewers, with 465,000 more seats (USD 3.52 million) filled. THE OUTLAWS, which fell just 35% in its sixth weekend with another 174,000 entries (1.34 million) for a brilliant 6.68 million admissions (USD 48.8 million) total so far.

A Special Lady suffered from poor word of mouth as it fell repeatedly during the weekend, ultimately admitting just 139,000 viewers (USD 1.04 million) during its debut, and 193,000 spectators (USD 1.39 million) for its first four days.
Down in sixth, Korea’s
Silent Witness remake
