Indieforum, one of Korea's premiere showcases of independent cinema, celebrates its tenth anniversary edition from May 28 to June 6. To be held at the Seoul Art Center's new location (at the former Hollywood Theater), Indieforum 2005 will feature 68 works in total, including a special retrospective looking back on Korean independent film of the last 10 years. This section will include early works by such directors as SONG Il-gon, PARK Chan-ok, NOH Dong-seok, LEE Ha, LEE-SONG Hee-il, and more. Other sections of the festival will include 29 new Korean independent films, a 7-film focus on US avant-garde filmmaker Jonas Mekas, a 12-film focus on Japanese experimental director Shiho Kano. Opening the festival will be the 37-minute documentary This is Not Documentary by PARK Hong-yeol and HWANG Da-eun, while the 18-minute experimental film Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by KIM Gye-joong and the 21-minute Haesung Project by YOON Seong-ho will close the event.
