Philadelphia Film Festival presents nine Korean films

The 2005 Philadelphia Film Festival, scheduled to be held from April 7-20, will feature nine Korean films in the various sections of its festival, including a special New Korean Cinema programme. The New Korea Cinema program will feature five films: the international premiere of BAE Chang-ho's Road, HONG Sang-soo's Woman is the Future of Man, LEE Yoon-ki's award-winning debut This Charming Girl, LEE Su-in's Sweet Sixties, and BAE Hyeong-joon's comedy Too Beautiful To Lie. Meanwhile the Danger After Dark section, which has been a strong showcase for Korean and Asian film in recent years, will present RYOO Seung-wan's Arahan, PARK Chan-wook's Old Boy, KONGSu-chang's horror film R-Point, and SONG Il-gon's mystery/thriller Spider Forest. Presented by the Philadelphia Film Society, the festival draws 60,000 spectators annually and this year will present 259 features.
