Heartthrob Nichkhun will be returning to the silver screen.
The 2PM singer’s management team at JYP Entertainment revealed that he would be starring in the upcoming Thai film Brother & Sister.
The pop-star will be joined on-screen by Thai actors Sunny Suwanmethanon and Yaya Urassaya Sperbund. Sunny starred in I Fine…Thank You…Love You (2014) which went on to become one of Thailand’s highest grossing movies of all time. Meanwhile Yaya is an actress and popular model in Thailand whose long list of product endorsements has earned her the title Queen of Presenters.
Brother & Sister will be Nichkhun’s first leading film role in 5 years. He was last seen on the big screen in the Thai romantic drama Seven Something (2012) which also starred Sunny. Meanwhile Nichkhun has kept busy. In addition to his music career, he has appeared in Chinese TV dramas and films, as well as Korean dramas and reality shows. This year, he starred in the JTBC fantasy web drama Magic School (2017). Nichkhun is currently in the midst of his first solo-tour, ‘Khunvitation’, which will see the singer performing for fans at intimate venues in Korea and Japan.
Brother & Sister, which is being produced by Thai studio GDH55, began filming in mid-November with a release scheduled for 2018.
