A WEREWOLF BOY Hits It Off with Spectators in the UK

Wins Audience Award from Terracotta Film Festival

The 5th Terracotta Far East Film Festival brought its biggest ever edition to a close on July 5th and among the prize winners for the event was the hugely popular Korean fantasy romance A Werewolf Boy.

JO Sung-hee’s hit film, which drew over seven million spectators in South Korea following its Halloween day launch last year, was awarded the Current Asian Cinema Audience Award, demonstrating its global appeal. The 60s set fantasy stars PARK Bo-young as a sick young girl who moves to the countryside and comes across the feral SONG Joong-ki, who she soon cleans up and takes under her wing.

JO’s sophomore work has been enormously successful around the world, with numerous festivals bookings and theatrical engagements. Other Korean films that screened at Terracotta included the low-budget sci-fi Young Gun in the Time from director OH Young-doo and RYOO Seung-wan’s spy thriller The Berlin File, for which the director made a special trip to London.
