Netflix to drop 'Sweet Home 3' next month
Netflix's hit apocalyptic horror series "Sweet Home" will return for its third season next month, the streaming giant said Wednesday.
The new season, featuring the survivors from the previous installment, is set to premiere on July 19.
Based on Naver's eponymous webtoon, the original Korean series debuted its first season in December 2020, followed by the second season in December last year.
"Sweet Home 1" centers around the struggles of the main protagonist, Cha Hyun-soo, played by Song Kang, and other survivors of a mysterious "infection" that transforms people into monsters in the Green Home. The second season showed an all-out survival war where individuals battle the monster curse in open space.
Netflix said the third season delves deeper into the individual narratives and relationships among the characters.
